Hi, I am Molly Paschal!
I am so glad you are visiting our classes website and wanting to know a little bit more about your child's teacher. To start off my bio blog, I would like to say how excited I am to be working with you and your student. Working with your student is one of the most rewarding experience that I will ever encounter. Most people complain about going to work, but I absolutely love my job. In fact, it does not even seem like a job at times! Teaching methods can change, but a love for working with students never does!
Currently, I live in Rockingham County where I have lived all my life. As much as I love the Piedmont region, I hope to move towards the coast some time in the future where I am constantly in the sand and waves. For my education, I graduated from Rockingham County Senior High School and went down the road to complete a two year associates degree at Rockingham Community College. In order to achieve a bachelor's degree, I enrolled at Greensboro College where I majored in elementary education. It was not until I was half way through my student teaching that I realized I wanted to teach middle schoolers. This age can be challenging, but I also find this age to be a blast to work with everyday. This will be my third year teaching at RCMS. For the past two years I have taught social studies, but this year I will be teaching english for the first time and I am ecstatic because I LOVE to read and I love finding books for students to love.
I love my family of five and enjoy spending time with them. We are a loud and crazy bunch but we usually have a lot of fun especially when my two younger brothers are around. Since I am the oldest of the three children and the only girl, one can imagine how two younger brothers can make life interesting at all times. Matthew, the older of the two brothers will be heading to UNCW this fall where he will major in business. It is a big adjustment for my family since we are usually always together. I know our house will seem very strange not having him around this year. He will definitely be missed. Mason, who is twelve years younger than me is a student at RCMS and is going into the eighth grade. When I started teaching at RCMS, Mason was entering the sixth grade so it will be bittersweet to see him wrapping up his time at RCMS. He NEVER gives our family a boring second when he is around. My parents have been married for over thirty years and have been my biggest support team. They have always been a provider for my brothers and I. I am very blessed to have them as my parents.
About ten months ago, the love of my life proposed and made November 3rd, 2013 my favorite day of the year. Tyler and I will say our vows on June 20th, 2015 and I could not be more excited to spend the rest of my life with him. We have been together for over a year and every day has been the best since I have known him. He too is one of my greatest supporters and I am so thankful he came into my life. Only ten more months until I get to spend forever with my best friend! We love to spend time hiking, going to the beach, being outdoors, and hanging out with our dog Costa.
Last but not least, my sweet yellow Labrador Costa is truly a woman's best friend. I love nothing more than to spend my days with my four legged cutie. We love playing frisbee and going on walks throughout the neighborhood. Even though she hogs the bed, I love coming home to that wet nose and brown eyed girl.
